New Build Projects

Since the formation of our business back in the early 1930s, F.J.
Charleton have constructed hundreds of new buildings throughout
Northern Ireland. Quality at a fair price has always been our hallmark.
Whether on one of our developments or working for a private client, our
vastly experienced team of local tradesmen have both the skills and
expertise to complete the most complex of projects.
We are always excited to be given the opportunity to construct a new
building and endeavour to make it an enjoyable experience for all our
clients. We are the current Federation of Master Builders, UK Master
Builder of the year for a new build project in Newcastle, Co. Down.

Alterations, Extensions & Renovations

One of most difficult skills in construction is the ability to seamlessly join
an existing and new building together, and make it seem as if it had
always been that way.
Having worked on countless projects from small porches and sunrooms to large commercial and church projects, the F.J. Charleton team
have over 300 years of combined experience and we are confident in
our ability to carry out the most demanding and complex projects in a
thoughtful and professional manner.

Commercial

Over the years we have carried out many commercial contracts and
enjoyed the trust and responsibility shown to us by our clients.
Deadlines, budget and quality workmanship are most important to our
commercial customers, principles which we ourselves understand and
appreciate.

Listed Buildings

Restoration is often more complicated than creating something new.
Attention to detail is most important when carrying out listed buildings
projects. Our team of experienced tradesmen have carried out many
projects to listed properties including banks, churches, nursing homes
and private dwellings.

Private Development

For over forty years F.J. Charleton have been involved in private
development, from one off dwellings to sites of up to sixty houses.
Lisnavale, our most recent on the Council Road, Kilkeel is a mixed
development of 33 units with eight house-types to choose from. Build
quality, house design and site layout have made our developments very
popular and good investments for the home owners. Recently a local
estate agent confirmed that F.J. Charleton developments have held
their prices better than other developments in the area.
Our Company was delighted to receive a quality award from the N.
Ireland National House Builders Council for the Lisnavale Development.
This was backed up when air tested for energy efficency, Lisnavale
recorded the best ever test results for new housing by Energy
Assessments N.I.
